hey everybody
just wanted to check in to catch you all up
on what’s going on with me and everclear
we got back back from iraq right before thanksgiving
and we were all seriously jet lagged for a couple weeks
we had an amazing experience over there…..the shows ranged from big bases of 2000 plus to
these little outposts where we had to get into blackhawk helicopters to get there
and played acoustice for a couple hundred soldiers
we brought a small film crew with us and we have over 60 hours of video
so after i get a chance to go through it all
we will figure out what to do with it
some of it will for sure be posted here on the page
and i will post some diary blogs on the experience as well
i am in songwriting mode and plan on going into pre production
with the boys in january for the new record
next year is going to be a busy year for me and everclear
i hope to debut my solo show in january in seattle
more on that when it is solid
i hope everybody had a great thanksgiving and is enjoying the christmas season
with all the economic issues we are all having to deal with
i have had a hard time getting into the xmas spirit this year
sorry it took so long to get the holiday songs on the player
i added some unreleased stuff that i have posted before and gets requested all the time
i hope you all enjoy it……

I have no idea if Art will ever see this but I had to try - I was at your show at the Hard Rock in Detroit - I was sitting directly in front of you in the rows they auctioned off - I have liked your songs but never really understood the words and the meaning behind them - your songs are really a part of you. I have a story that I would like you to right a song on. I lost my children to an ex-wife because she comes from considerable wealth and they manipulated the legal system against me. I am starting a foundation to help fathers like me and need a medium to tell my story. No one is willing to take a chance and talk about a serious issue of fathers being purposly falsely accused of abuse to win custody. For some reason I think you could tell this story in a song. Long shot - but I had to try…..
Hey Art, I’m sad to hear that your not coming to California yet, but im glad to hear your working on new album, thats awesome, in case your dont remember me, I was the one in maui at the hard rock cafe last year with the secret code phrase polka dotted elephants, the show was really amazing, and Ill be definetely going to all of the shows that i can, thanks for all of the great music and ill see you soon. Im looking to get a hold of Art to ask him if i really have his old strat…. Its a sun burst strat with a 62 neck and HSS Hot rod pups with 3-3way toggles and a floyd rose.
im getting it appraised and should be worth a great deal of money and i was wondering if you would be able to recognize it for me.

After we met on the plane this past weekend we went directly to your albums and of course recognized your music. We appreciated your willingness to talk and exchange stories about our kids. Please know you and your wife always have and invitation to come over for dinner, Arizona can play with Philip.
